Summary:
Senator Keim of Oxford establishes the Maine Consumer Privacy Act, which is modeled on the California Consumer Privacy Act of 2018. It applies to the collection and sale of all personal information collected by a business from consumers. This bill is now is legislative limbo as the House and Senate could not agree on which committee to assign it to. We do not expect this bill to be heard this year.
