Summary:
Representative Terry of Gorham submits a bill on behalf of Maine Revenue Services. The bill makes a number of changes to tax laws including: Amends the diabetic supplies exemption to require use by the purchaser; includes in Title 36 the effective date of 3 sales tax exemptions (including pet food for charitable contributions); and clarifies that enhanced business equipment tax exemption reimbursement only applies to tax increment financing exempt business equipment when the reimbursement is used to fund a tax increment financing development program.
