History

The Retail Association of Maine was founded in 1933 as the Maine Merchants Association by a group of visionary Maine businesspeople to help promote the merchants on a statewide basis and to provide a voice for the industry to our legislative leaders.

Today, the Retail Association of Maine continues to strongly advocate on behalf of Maine's retail community.

Located in the Merchants Building in Augusta within walking distance to the Statehouse, the Retail Association of Maine is also home to the MMA Worker's Compensation Trust, the Maine Restaurant Association, the Maine Innkeepers Association, the Maine Grocers & Food Producers Association, and Carr Consulting.

Led by Curtis Picard, CAE, Executive Director, your association is ready to help serve you.
